For almost 80 years the company has produced manual and electric chain hoists for a diversified, international market. The foundation of the German company has placed an increasing corporate focus on the European market. We develop and produce our hoists in Japan and we are represented by subsidiaries and trading partners on all continents.

• 1932: Foundation of KITO Manufactoring Co. by Miyoshi Kito
• 1947: Development of first lever hoist in Japan
• 1958: Development of electric chain hoist (Modell 58)
• 1982: Development of manual chain hoist
• 1983: Relocation of production to Yamanashi, Japan
• 1990: Foundation of subsidiary Harrington Hoists, Inc. in the USA
• 1993: Foundation of subsidiary KITO Canada, Inc. in Canada
• 1995: Foundation of production facility Jiangyin KITO Crane Co., Ltd. in China
• 1997: Foundation of production facility Siam KITO Co., Ltd. in Thailand
• 2006: Foundation of Kito Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf
